The SNP committed this weekend to convince the country that a second independence referendum is desired despite not declaring it in their manifesto. The comments, both at the SNP conference and on mainstream media confirm that the agenda of the SNP is independence.
Only one party stands against the SNP and resists Scotland being taken out of the UK. With the great majority of Scotland wishing to remain in the UK, the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party are the only party who stand up for the Union.
Charles Kennedy, MSP candidate for Linlithgow states, “Despite promising that the referendum was a once in a generation event, the SNP are already seeking another referendum.”
“It is less than 18 months since Scotland voted to remain in the UK and the focus should be on improving standards in Education, the NHS and the Economy, not on an unwanted referendum.”
“There is only one party that is behind Scotland remaining in the UK and that is the Scottish Conservatives.”
Stephanie Smith, MSP candidate for Almond Valley stated, “In September 2014 Scotland chose to be part of the UK”
“The Smith Commission has made the Scottish Government one of the most devolved powers in the world and the SNP should be concentrating on helping small and medium businesses and using the powers they have to improve the opportunities for all in Scotland.”
“It is a disgrace that over 150,000 college places have been lost since the SNP came to power and all they want to concentrate on is another country dividing referendum.”
“I urge all Unionists to vote for the Conservatives in May and stop this selfish, damaging agenda”.
